Cleaning your windows before installation is crucial to ensure a smooth finish. Using a window scraper and soapy solution will remove dirt and grime, while non-ammonia-based cleaners can be used on the glass and surrounding areas. When removing the backing liner, use tape to separate it from the film, and spray the adhesive side with water to prevent sticking. Wetting both the film and window glass with soapy water is essential for a bubble-free installation.

If the film needs to be removed, heating it with a fabric steamer or heat gun can soften the adhesive for easy removal. A hair dryer can also be used, but may take longer.
